Heart Walk remembers many, raises money, attention for disease

Ryan Storrie's family and friends walked Saturday in memory of the popular partner in the Ember Restaurant on Trade Street. Storrie died of a heart attack at age 29, less than one year after realizing his dream of opening a restaurant.

The Heart Walk drew thousands to Greer City Park Saturday to remember those that lost battles to heart disease and educate many more with it.

Ryan Storrie's family and friends walked Saturday in memory of the popular partner in the Ember Restaurant on Trade Street. Storrie died of a heart attack at age 29, less than one year after realizing his dream of opening a restaurant.

Awards were presented for contributions made, music played and the spring morning offered a picturesque landscape for a walk.
