Inland Port rail moves on pace for record year

Inland Port Greer rail moves totaled 9,540 in February, a 25.8 percent over the facility’s year-to-date volume compared to last fiscal year.

Greer’s port has recorded 73,205 rail moves since July last year.

With four months remaining in the South Carolina Ports Authority’s (SCPA) fiscal year, Greer is on pace to record more than 103,639 rail moves record. Inland Port Greer surpassed the five-year volume projections in less than three years,

The SCPA projected more than 110,000 rail moves in FY 2016-2017. Greer is averaging 9,150 per month, which would put it at 109,809 at the end of the fiscal year.
