Lauren Cabaniss, 2012 Miss Greater Greer, finished runnerup in the Miss South Carolina-America pageant. She revoked her crown when she entered, and won, the Miss Mountain Lakes, USA competition in Walhalla in late July. The Miss America and Miss USA pageants are competing organizations.
Sidney Sill, 2012 Miss Greater Greer Teen, also was runnerup in the state pageant. However, when Miss South Carolina Teen Rachel Wyatt won the Miss America Teen pageant, it left the state without a teen queen.
Sill accepted the Miss South Carolina invitation to complete the year as Miss Teen and fulfill its schedule of appearances. Her appearances are now booked through the Miss South Carolina-America organization.
