Veterans, active duty military and reservists will be honored with a smorgasbord of options at restaurant chains over Veterans Day weekend.
Bring a valid military ID and it’s suggested to call in advance for participating restaurants.
• Fatz is offering a free Calabash Chicken basket, which includes steak fries. Veterans and active military will receive 25 percent off their entrée each time they visit Fatz during November’s Military Appreciation Month.
• Red Lobster will be offering a free appetizer or dessert to veterans on Sunday and Monday.
• Applebee’s offers a free meal from an exclusive menu of eight entrees, including the Classic Bacon Cheeseburger, 6 ounce USDA Select Top Sirloin, Chicken Tenders Platter, Double Crunch Shrimp, Fiesta Lime Chicken, Oriental Grilled Chicken Salad, Oriental Chicken Salad, or Three-Cheese Chicken Penne.
• Back Yard Burgers offers a free Back Yard Classic Burger. All burgers are made to order, and topped with choice of garden-fresh lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onion, ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise.
• Bar Louie is offering a free burger or flatbread up to a $15 value.
