Riley Michele Varner, 16, won Miss South Carolina Teen USA ambassador and will compete in the national competition in July in Tampa, Fla.
Varner, a freshman at Blue Ridge High School, serves on the student council and is a member of the Lady Tigers softball team.
She is the daughter of Dana Jordan and Lt. Cris Varner of the Greer Police Department.
