Austin Terault of Blue Ridge High School signed with the Savannah College of Art and Design to run track in a Wednesday ceremony attended by the school band, seniors and family and friends.

Terault's grandmother, Donna Williams, and mother, Paula Terault, attended the signing.

He said he picked the Savannah, Ga., school because he wants to learn animation and work his way into a studio position.

Terault may run the mile and two-mile during track and field season and run the 10k cross country event in the fall.

Paul Garrigan is Blue Ridge High School’s cross country and distance track coach.
