A fine dining restaurant is locating on Trade Street and will open in the second quarter.

Michelle Scruggs told GreerToday.com the tentative date for the restaurant’s opening is in the second quarter and the name has been narrowed to two.

The restaurant will be at 109 Trade Street, where Wild Ace was located before its move to Depot Street.

“It will be a farm to table, upscale restaurant,” said Michelle Scruggs, part of the restaurant group opening the restaurant.

The group owns the Green Lettuce, a Mediterranean cuisine restaurant on Augusta Road and will open Grindhouse Grill, a hamburger-style restaurant, across from the '05 on Augusta Road.  “The restaurant we are opening in Greer will be different from what we have,” Scruggs said.

Scruggs said the Trade Street restaurant will feature a long bar, use the outside patio for dining and feature live music.

“We are trying out some of the recipes in Greenville and will announce our menu and name later,” Scruggs said.

The downtown Greenville restaurant will open first and Scruggs said Greer will follow soon after.

Scruggs and her family previously owned Art and Wine on Trade, at 205 Trade Street, four years ago. Scruggs also had a photography studio at the store.
