Twelve softball teams will be participating in the 7th Annual Upstate SC Law Enforcement Memorial Softball Tournament this weekend in Greer. The event honors law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.
The tournament will be held at Century Park, 3065 Brushy Creek Road in Greer. Opening ceremonies will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday. The first pitch will be thrown by one of Trooper Keith Rebman’s daughters.
Participants in this year’s tournament include teams from the Cherokee County Sherriff’s Office, Fountain Inn PD, Greenville City PD, Greenville County Detention Center, Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, Greer FD, Greer PD, Laurens County Sheriff’s Office, SC Highway Patrol Troop 3 and Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office.
