Most churches cancel services, warmer day forecast

Most churches have cancelled or curtailed services Sunday as roads in the upstate remained icy overnight from snow and ice that fell across greater Greer this weekend.
Inland Port expansion can't come quick enough, rail moves surpass annual predictions

The Greer Inland Port more than doubled the facility’s December volume in rail moves, the South Carolina Ports Authority reported at Wednesday’s board meeting in Charleston.
The Inland Port handled 7,824 moves in December. Rail volumes grew 76.5 percent during its second full calendar year of operation, with 75,111 total rail moves completed in 2015.
Greer's annual BMW production is largest in the world

BMW Manufacturing Co. in Greer is officially the brand’s largest annual production facility in the world, company officials announced Monday.
Greer recorded BMW’s largest annual production in 2015 when 400,904 X-models rolled off the line.
