Cole selected Oncology Certified Nurse of the Year

C. Lynn Cole has been named the 2015 Oncology Certified Nurse of the Year. She serves as a Thoracic Clinical Navigator at the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System and Gibbs Cancer Center and Research Institute in Spartanburg. 
 
 
 

The Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) has chosen C. Lynn Cole, as the 2015 Oncology Certified Nurse of the Year. Cole, of Boiling Springs, was selected based on her contributions to oncology nursing and oncology nursing service, and her support and promotion of oncology nursing certification.

Cole serves as a Thoracic Clinical Navigator at the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System and Gibbs Cancer Center and Research Institute in Spartanburg. In her inpatient oncology unit, she has increased the percentage of certified nurses by acting as a Clinical Unit Educator and a Certified Instructor for the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy/Biotherapy course.

Relay for Life goes over $75,000 mark

Ashley Burdett, a survivor of melanoma, is the coordinator for Greer Relay for Life.

Greer Relay for Life had as near a perfect evening and night as possible for the Greer Relay for Life at Dooley Field.

Come early and plan to stay late at Family Fest today

Dads had just as much in the Kids Zone as their children.
 

The Greer Family Fest is just getting warmed up.

Saturday’s schedule has a variety of activities for children and as the day wears on the entertainment takes over highlighted by Sister Hazel at 8 p.m.

The weather forecast couldn't be better with high in the mid-70s under sunny skies and dipping into the 60s in the evening.
