Kody Young and Shelby Alford have been eliminated from Greer Idol following their patriotic performances Saturday at the Greer Freedom Blast.
That means only eight singers remain for the grand prize of $2,000 to be awarded the top performer on July 22.

The Greer Idol field has been cut to 12 entering this week’s competition at Tunes on Trade Friday.
Debbie Howard and Keydria Martinez were eliminated by garnering the fewest votes after the first week. The singers perform and the voting public votes on the Greer Idol website for their favorite performers from the Friday night performances.
Fourteen singers will compete for 2016 Greer Idol beginning Friday at Tunes in the Park.
Rock n Roll Reunion will be the headline band performing sets at 7 and 9 p.m.
