EVENT: Greer's Freedom Blast Celebration Schedule For This Weekend

A variety of military vehicles, Korean War vintage and forward, will be on display around City Park. The South Carolina National Guard will have its ropes course and climbing wall to challenge individuals.

Greer City Park will be the place to be this coming Saturday evening, June 25th.  There will be kids activities, live music from the Country Rock band Early Ray, a military tribute, and Round 3 of the Greer Idol contest.

Don't forget the Rib Eating Contest, and of course the Fireworks.

Admission is FREE!

Blood Drive .............. 6-10 p.m.

Kids Zone ................. 6-8 p.m.

Inflatables ................ 6-9:30 p.m.
(lines close at 9 p.m.)

Greer Idol ..................... 6 p.m.

Rib Eating Contest ....... 7 p.m.

Headliner ..................... 7:30 p.m.

Military Tribute ............ 8:30 p.m.

CONCESSIONS

Food Booths .............. 6-10:30 p.m.

Beer Booths ............... 6-10 p.m.

 

PARKING
More than 600 striped parking spaces are available at no cost in city parking lots located a short walk from Greer City Park. Makeshift parking areas, such as the field opposite the Line Street entrance to Greer City Hall will be made available during Freedom Blast.

Also there is a $5 paid parking lot behind the Hot Spot on Depot Street.
