It appears Abbott’s Frozen Custard will be open in December.

Jason Cole, general manager was handing out candy in an Abbott’s covered cup last Thursday during Halloween on Trade. “We still have a few things to do but it’s coming along,” Cole said. “We hope to be open next month in time for the holidays.”

People who kept the cup will get a free custard when the store opens.

The store will be located at the former Dixie Shoe Shop at 119 E. Poinsett Street. The alley has been blocked while the store is undergoing construction on the outside wall and making an outside common area.

Custard, novelties, shakes, floats and flurries are some of the items for sale. Pints for takeout and cakes and pies are available.

Abbott’s of Greer is the first franchise in the Carolinas and Georgia.
