Greer police issue warning to Greer-Blue Ridge fans
The Greer Police Department has issued a warning that spectators with masks or Halloween-type bags will be prohibited to Dooley Field for Friday night’s 7:30 game pitting rivals Blue Ridge and Greer.

“It’s already a big rivalry and Halloween makes it all the more challenging,” said Sgt. Chad Richardson. “We will be watching closely as fans enter and during the game for violations.”

Greer police routinely provide extra uniform and plains clothed officers throughout both sides of the stadiums.

A sellout crowd is expected with Blue Ridge trying to hand No. 4 ranked Greer its first loss of the regular season. Greer is 9-0 overall and 6-0 in the region. Blue Ridge is 6-2 overall and 4-2 in the region.
