Will Garrett, a Riverside high school graduate, Class of 2017, is now a freshman at The Citadel and having early classroom success there also.
Garrett attended a reception held at the home of The Citadel president, Lt. Gen. John W. Rosa on Jan. 27, which recognized all Gold Star recipients.
Garrett was awarded the Gold Stars for achieving a 3.7 grade point average or higher during the 2017 fall semester. Students who achieve Gold Star recognition are also placed on The Citadel's Dean's List.
