The Greer Station Chili Cook-off will be held Thursday, Nov. 8 from 5 - 8 p.m. on Trade Street in downtown Greer.
The public will have the option of purchasing food tickets to taste the competitors’ chili – $1 per tasting or $3 per bowl.
The Trapfire Brothers will provide music and La Bouteille Wine and Beer Boutique will have beer and wine available for purchase. The public is asked to bring canned food donations for Rivals for Relief, a food drive benefitting Greer Relief.
A People’s Choice award will be voted on by the public, with the title of “Best Chili in Greer” awarded by celebrity judges. First place wins a Greer Staycation package – a night’s stay at The James House Inn, a bed and breakfast at 401 W. Poinsett Street, and a $50 gift card to TSC 104. Judging begins at 6:30 p.m. Awards are announced at 7.
