Emerson Blair Dingus will compete in the International Cinderella Scholarship Program in July in Dallas, Texas.

Emerson Blair Dingus of Greer will represent South Carolina in the International Cinderella Scholarship Program this summer in Dallas, Texas.

Emerson, 6, won the state title in April and will compete in the Tot division, ages 3-6 years old.

Emerson was featured in GreerToday.com last year when she delivered 35 bags packed with stuffed animals so each would become a “Pal” to a child in distress from a house fire, domestic situations, vehicle accidents or traumatic events where emergency agencies respond.

The international competition, July 20-24, will have competition in interview, party wear/formal wear modeling, casual wear modeling, photogenic and on stage interview. There is no talent competition in the tot division.

Emerson, who attends Brook Glenn Elementary, lives with her mother, Barbie, and sister, Ashley.

This is the 39th annual International Cinderella Scholarship Program. Winners will be vying for more than $40,000 in scholarships and other prizes. The program emphasizes contestants and families spending time together in positive, self-esteem building activities together.
