Free films are scheduled for Thursday evenings from June 2 through July 28 at dusk. Free pre-show fun such as inflatables, crafts, games with prizes and dancing begins at 6 p.m.
"It’s becoming more and more difficult to find affordable events for the entire family. Between tickets and concessions, a night at the theater or the ballpark can really add up for a family of four,” said Robbie Davis, events coordinator with the City of Greer. “Moonlight Movies allow families to spend an entire evening under the stars at no cost.”
Davis said concessions will be available for purchase from on-site vendors.
The Moonlight Movies series opens on June 2 with “Minions,” followed by “Planes: Fire and Rescue,” “Pan,” “Shaun the Sheep,” and “Muppets Most Wanted.”
July’s offerings include “Hotel Transylvania 2,” “The SpongeBob Movie,” “The Good Dinosaur,” and “Inside Out.”
Seating in the amphitheater is on a first-come, first-served basis for all films. For the safety of all attending the movies, children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
