"CONSERVATION THEORY'S ORIGINS ARE LINKED TO A LOVE OF MUSIC AMOUNG FRIENDS AND A DESIRE TO HELP PROTECT THE EARTH. EDDIE AND MARK FORMED OPUS TRUST IN 2004 TO TRY AND EDUCATE FOLKS ABOUT OPTIONS FOR PROTECTING THE EARTH. THEY HAD ALWAYS HAD STRONG TIES TO MUSIC. AFTER WINNING A GIBSON BANJO AND HAVING IT PRESENTED TO HIM BY THE MAN HIMSELF, EARL SCRUGGS, EDDIE AND HIS WIFE LYNNE KNEW FATE HAD SMILED UPON THEM. THEY BOTH LEARNED TO PLAY AND THROUGH A PRESERVATION PROJECT FOR ONE THOUSAND ACRES IN THE SOUTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS EDDIE LYNNE AND MARK ALONG WITH SCOTT HILL AND MARVIN MIZE FORMED THE FIRST INCARNATION OF CONSERVATION THEORY, NAMED AFTER THEIR PRESERVATION LEANINGS. LATER JOINED BY MARTY HOPKINS AND JEREMY NUNNELLEY THE BAND IS A DIVERSE DEMOCRATICUNIT DRIVEN BY MULTIPLE INFLUENCES AND DIFFERING PERSONALITIES ALL COMPILED TO BRING FORTH THE SPIRIT OF ORGANIC MUSIC. A MUSIC WITH A LIFE OF ITS OWN, CONTAGIOUS AND FUN FOR AUDIENCE AND BAND ALIKE."

Drew Gibson Bio:
"Based out of Washington, DC, Virginia native Drew Gibson has been lauded for his finger-picking ability, as well as his heartfelt and lyrical songwriting style. The self-taught guitar player has independently released two full-length albums, gaining national and international attention from music writers and listeners alike. Drew recently released his new album, 1532, co-produced by Gibson along with Marco Delmar with additional production from Bobby Read. 1532 was written in memory of Drew's father with themes of moving forward through life in remembrance of those we have lost and love."
