GPD responds to Blue Bridge Brewery dismturbance

Greer Police Department officers responded to Blue Ridge Brewing at 306 Trade Street, Greer, on Tuesday night, in reference to a disturbance involving a firearm.

Suspect Timothy McCombs, 26, had left the location in a vehicle before officers’ arrived, but was located a short distance away at which point a traffic stop was conducted, according to GPD.

Based on information GPD received during the investigation, McCombs entered Blue Ridge Brewing to confront a person about an altercation having just occurred outside the business. 

McCombs is said to have presented and pointed the firearm at occupants within the business. McCombs exited the business and fired the weapon several times into the air before driving a vehicle away from the location. 

No one was injured during the incident with McCombs at Blue Ridge Brewing, according to GPD.

McCombs was arrested and charged with Pointing and Presenting firearms at a Person, Use of Firearm while Under the Influence of Alcohol, Possession of a Gun on Premise Where Alcohol is Sold, and Driving Under the Influence.

McCombs was held pending arraignment.,
