Greer stores not on Lowe?s list of closings

Greer stores are unaffected from the list of store closings Lowe’s announced this morning. 
Lowe’s is not closing any South Carolina or North Carolina stores from among the 20 underperforming stores in 15 states. The closings will cut 1,950 jobs.
Lowe’s, based in Mooresville, N.C., has halved the number of stores it plans to open in 2012 to 10-15. It is opening 25 stores this year. Before the closings Lowe’s operated 1,725 stores.
Store closings are:
California: Los Banos, Westminster
Colorado: Denver
Illinois: Aurora, Oswego
Louisiana: Chalmette
Massachusetts: Haverhill
Maine: Biddeford, Elsworth
Michigan: Ionia
Minnesota: Rogers
New Hampshire: Claremont, Hooksett, Manchester
New Jersey: Old Bridge
New York: Batavia
Rhode Island: N. Kingstown
Virginia: Emporia
Washington: S. Tacoma
Wisconsin: Brown Deer
