PFC Adam Corey Ross, 19, of 132 West Fox Ridge Drive, died July 24, 2012 in Wardak Province, Afghanistan.
A native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, son of SST George Dudley and Amanda Nix Ross of Lyman, he was a 2011 graduate of Byrnes High School and serving in the U.S. Army in Afghanistan. He was a member of Airport Baptist Church, where he was active in many youth activities.
Surviving:
Also surviving are his fiancée, Rachel Elizabeth Lowery of Lyman; two brothers, PFC Jonathan Dudley Ross and his wife, Diedre of Jinhae, Republic of Korea and Jacob Bryant Ross of Lyman; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Services:
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Fairview Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Mike Bowling and Chaplain Steve Shugart. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park with full military honors.
Visitation will be held 6-8:30 p.m. Friday at Fairview Baptist Church.
The family is at the home.
