Jan Barry Brown, 68, of Taylors died May 13, 2013.

Barry, son of the late Grady and Margaret Brown, served 10 years in the U.S. Army, retired from Duke Power, and was an active member of Taylors First Baptist Church and Life Group COED 17.

He was a prolific fisherman and avid outdoorsman.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Martha Satterfield Brown of the home; one son, Heath Brown (Susie); one daughter, Shannon B. Hever (Joe); one brother, Byron Brown (Teresa) of Greer; one aunt, Sarah Spillers of Simpsonville; and four cherished grandchildren, Payton, Landon, Evan, and Bryce.

Funeral Services:

The family will receive friends at Taylors First Baptist Church on Friday, May 17, 2013 from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
