Betty Jean Taylor Rainey, 83, of 730 S. Line Street Ext., died July 20, 2015 at McCall Hospice House.
A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Horace Elbert and Gladys Burts Taylor, she was retired from Fiber Industries and later worked for Walmart Distribution Center and Sevier Middle School. She was a member of Simpsonville First Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Jean Register (Neil) of Greer and Ann Tannery (Tom) of Atlanta, Georgia; a brother, Bill Taylor (Vivian) of Greer; a sister, Joann Bartlett (Don) of Taylors; three grandchildren, Mark Cudd (Jessica) of Atlanta, Georgia, Elizabeth Tannery of Atlanta, Georgia and Jason Barfield (Jenna) of Fernley, Nevada; and one great-grandchild, Alex Cudd.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Chris Jackson. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held 12:45-1:45 p.m. Thursday at The Wood Mortuary. The families are at their respective homes.
