Donald Hulon Arms, 85, died October 15, 2014 at his home.

A native of Greenville County, son of the late James Ernest and Geneva Compton Arms, he was a retired employee of Southland Life Insurance Company and a member of Washington Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher for over 50 years and a former deacon.

He was a former pastor of Lake Toxaway Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Winona Sloan Arms of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Charles Banks of Gaffney and Rita and Lester Erwin of Powdersville; a son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Debbie Arms of Greer; a son-in-law, Dr. Maurice Henson and his wife, Jo; two brothers, J.L. Arms and Alvin Arms both of Greer; one sister, Evelyn Lynn of Greer; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Mr. Arms was predeceased by one daughter, Denise Henson, two brothers, Gentry Arms and Clinton Arms, and one sister, Gladys Lynn.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Washington Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Drew Hines, Rev. Joe Price and Dr. Maurice Henson.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held after the service in the church.

The families are at their respective homes.
