Jackie "Jack" Lane Farmer, 80, of Duncan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, surrounded by his family.

He was born June 29, 1942, son of the late Jessie Runion and Mary Ruth Henson Farmer. he was also predeceased in death by his sister, Thelma Irene Tooley; two brothers, Benny Farmer and Jessie Dean Farmer, Sr.

Jack was a native of Greer, S.C., and retired from Roadway Trucking after 25 years of employment. He was a longtime Mason and a member of the Hejaz Shriners of Greenville.

Mr. Farmer grew up as a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church and as an adult he was a member of Apalache Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

He will always be remembered for his strong work ethic, wit, charm, sense of humor and his love for his family and the Lord.

Surviving:

Surviving are one son, Shane Farmer (Renn) of Marshville, N.C.; two brothers, Garold Farmer (Evangeline), and Charles Farmer (Kay) both of Greer, S.C.; and one granddaughter, McKinsey Hammock and two grandsons, Tate Barr and Gage Barr; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family, all whom loved him very much.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Brian Childers.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held 5 - 7 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2022, at The Wood Mortuary.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Bull, Dillon Bull, Gage Barr, Terry Wood, Matthew Tooley, and Sam Prentice.

The family of Jack would like to extend their deep gratitude to Louise Hudson, Jack's longtime companion. We will never forget the love, kindness and care you showed Jack over the past seven years.
