Mr. Johnny Lamarr Terry, 65, won his battle with cancer and received his eternal healing on Wednesday, March 12, 2014.
He was the son of the late John Andrew Terry Jr., and Grace Campbell Terry. A loving husband, father, Papa, brother and friend; he was an avid fisherman and hunter. He had a passion for old cars, lived for his family and to serve his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a faithful member and council member at O?Neal Church of God. He was a retired employee of Mitsubishi Polyester Film Company.
Surviving:
He is survived by his wife, Carol ?Bootsie? Terry of the home; one son, Adam (Jessica) Terry of Lowndesville, one daughter, Johnna Terry (Justin) Johnson of Taylors; one sister, Joye (Danny) Barbare of Greer; two nephews, Heath (Ginger) Barbare and Blake (Rebecca) Barbare all of Greer and one great nephew Andrew Barbare. He was the proud papa of Makayla Grace and Ryker Cole.
Funeral Services:
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday March 15, 2014 at O?Neal Church of God conducted by Rev. Tim McConnell and Rev. Scotty Willoughby. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Russell Hinton, Billy Dean Thompson II, Jimmy Kinney, Richard Bridwell, Jimmy Childress, Brad McCarson, Casey Barnett and David Sorrow.
Visitation will be held at the Wood Mortuary on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 6:00-8:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lutheran Hospice, 429 North Main Street, Greenville, S.C. 29601 or O?Neal Church of God Building Fund, 3794 Berry Mill Road, Greer, S.C. 29651.
