Macklain ?Mackie? Higdon Garrett, 71, passed away on January 30, 2020 at her home.

A native of Franklin County, NC, daughter of the late John C. and Lucy Mills Higdon, she was a retired employee of Stone Manufacturing and a member of Burnsview Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are her husband, John Perry Garrett of the home; one daughter, Phyllis Ann Lance of Greer; one son, Johnny Ray Garrett of Greer; two brothers, Cornelius Higdon of OR and Carey Higdon of Greer; three sisters, Minda Sue Cudd of Greer, Greta Jane Davis of Sylva, NC and Alice Neil Fox of Lyman; four grandchildren, Khristeena Pearson, Michelle Watts, Valorie Malpica and Victoria Islas and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Burnsview Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tim Huckaby.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held 2:00-2:45 p.m. at the church.

The family is at the home.
