Maynard Grogan "Pete" Strube, 81, of 1515 Macedonia Church Road, died November 16, 2013 at his home.

A native of Kinsley, KS, he was a son of the late Ralph and Opal Grogan Strube, retired employee of Johnson controls, a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of Motlow Creek Baptist Church and was a former member at Calvary Baptist Church in Greer.

His first wife was the late Edith Watson Strube.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Margaret McCraw Seay Strube of the home; a daughter, Sandra (Billy) Blackwell of Greer; a son, Roger (Martha) Strube of Campobello; a brother, Don Strube of OK; four grandchildren, Melissa (Brian) Robinette, Tim Blackwell, Kimberly Strube and Joshua Strube and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Terry Rainey, Rev. Kim McCrasky and Rev. Mike Miller. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.

The family is at the home.
