Mildred Louise Wilson Kinnett-Farr, 98, wife of the late Forest Edward Kinnett, Sr. and Wesley Farr, passed away May 4, 2024.

A native of Greer, South Carolina, daughter of the late Tureen Newell Wilson Sr, and Irene Hawkins Wilson, as a young woman, Mildred worked in a beauty shop and went on to get her cosmetology license. She later worked in the sewing room at Pacific Mills before staying home to raise her only son, Eddie.

In 1959 she went back to work in the field of insurance for Owens Insurance and later Joyner Insurance. She officially retired in 1996 at age 71. She was an active member of her church, Lyman Methodist Church and sang in the choir for 50 years. At age 98 she was one of the oldest living members of the church. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and loyal friend to many. She will be sincerely missed by her family, friends, and neighbors.

Surviving:

Surviving are one son, Forest Edward Kinnett Jr. (Mary Deane) of Clemmons, North Carolina; one sister, Velma W. Hayes of Duncan, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Laura Mannarino (Frank) of Tampa, Florida, Missy Christensen (Brian) of Orlando, Florida, Chelsea Jennings (Aaron) of Yadkinville, North Carolina, and Katie Kidd ( Erik) of Clemmons, North Carolina; and eight great -grandchildren, Kristopher Stough ( Randal) of Orlando, Florida, Anna Christensen of Orlando, Florida, Dylan Mannarino of Tampa, Florida, Devon Mannarino of Tampa, Florida, Naomi Jennings of Yadkinville, North Carolina, Benjamin Jennings of Yadkinville, North Carolina, Lillian Jennings of Yadkinville, North Carolina, and Charlotte Kid of Clemmons, North Carolina.

Mrs. Farr was predeceased by one brother, Tureen Newell Wilson, Jr.; and four sisters, Gladys W. Marchbanks, Earline W. Hunter, Thelma W. Rodgers, and Ruby McCarter.

Funeral Services:

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2024, Lyman Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Erik Grayson.
