Jim "Monty" Monroe Powell III, 56, died September 25, 2016.

A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Jim M. Powell, Jr. and Martha Guy Bridges, he was an employee of Z.F. Transmission and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving:

Surviving are his step-mother, Eva Powell; two brothers, Scotty Powell (Laurie) of Landrum and Donald Guy of Lyman; two nieces, Jessica Powell and Brittany Boston; and two nephews, Adam Powell and Dustin Guy.

He was predeceased by one brother, James Powell.

Funeral Services:

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Wood Memorial Park, conducted by Rev. Ricci Allen.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at The Wood Mortuary.
