Rodney Tyson Holcombe, 40, of 834 Coral Acres Drive, died May 1, 2012 at Trident Memorial Hospital. Born in Charleston County, son of Darryl Holcombe (Jean) of Greer and Betty Maxwell Westmoreland (Ken) of Cullowhee, North Carolina, he was the owner and operator of Coastal Carolina Used Oil Recovery and a member of Zoar United Methodist Church. He was a loving father, son, brother and friend to many.
Also surviving are a daughter, Katie Price of Greer; his fiancée, Melissa Elrod of Moncks Corner; step-children, Tiffany Willis and Taylor Barber both of Georgia; a brother, Clay Holcombe (Kristi) of Greer; step-brothers, Brady Esuary, Kevin Westmoreland and Kyle Westmoreland; step-sisters, Kim Busbin, Stacy Roach and Kelsey Trotter; a niece, Logan Holcombe; and his two special pets, JoJo and Missy.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Ernest Barr. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Noon ?1:45 p.m. Friday at The Wood Mortuary. The family is at the home of his father, Darryl Holcombe, 3118 Cannon Road, Greer.
