Roie Earlene Mathis Johnson, 89, wife of the late Jesse T. Johnson, passed away September 22, 2022.

A native of Greer, daughter of the late Joe and Maudie Anderson Mathis, she was a retired employee of Waccamaw Pottery and a member of Sharon United Methodist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are one son, Steve J. Johnson (Sandra) of Greer; one sister, Barbara Bradley of Lyman; two grandchildren, Andrew Johnson and Kimberly Downey; and three great-grandchildren, Owen Johnson, Madison Downey, and Callie Johnson.

She was also predeceased by three sisters, Linda Gayle Sumner, Oleta Johnson, and JoAnn M. West.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2022, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Gryff Carosiello.

Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Brian West, Jeff Sumner, Benny Godfrey, Andrew Johnson, Owen Johnson, and Michael Downey.

Visitation will be held 10 - 10:45 a.m. Monday at the mortuary before the service.

The family is at the home of the son, Steve Johnson, 1370 Sharon Rd., Greer, SC 29651.
