Verdenia Taylor Cupka, 88, of Greer, South Carolina, went to be with her Lord at 7 a.m. on November 25, 2023.

A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Bessie Johnson Taylor and Otis Taylor, she was a retired employee of General Electric and of the Baptist faith.

She was a resident of National Healthcare of Greenville, SC.

Surviving:

Surviving are her husband, Frank R. Cupka of Greer; her three children shared with the late James Kemp, James Randy Kemp (Kim) of Greer, Sandra Kemp Simpson (Bobby) of Campobello, and Shelby Kemp Rochester of Lyman; three step-daughters, Kandy Norwood (Glenn) of Simpsonville, Karren Perez of Louisville, Kentucky, and Kristie Marshall (Rick) of Boiling Springs; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Frankie Taylor and Julia Taylor; one brother-in-law, David Cupka; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by one stepdaughter, Kim Thompson; twom grandchildren; and her siblings, Glen Taylor, Ileen Flynn (Buddy), Calvin Taylor, Lewis Taylor (Doris), and Fred Taylor.

Funeral Services:

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2023, at Wood Memorial Park, conducted by Rev. Bill Morris.

The family is at their respective homes.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful caregivers at NHC of Greenville.
