The RMS Spirit-Fest Night that was held on March 27. Students, Parents, RMS Faculty and Staff, and the Community came out to show their Riverside Royals support by attending the various sporting events, tasting the variety of food offerings from local restaurant vendors, and getting to know what community resources are available for the Riverside community. 

Students fly kites in Holocaust Remembrance

On the First Day of Spring, students from Riverside Middle School in Hale Edwards' 7th- grade social studies classes and in Teryn Traynham's 8th-grade French I class participated in their annual Holocaust Remembrance Project by flying kites in honor of Dr. Janusz Korczak.

Library hosts Book Fair

The Library at Riverside Middle School hosted a successful Scholastic Book Fair this past week.

6th-graders complete intramural championship

RMS 6th-graders completed their intramural championship. Jan Coty's homeroom defeated Debbie Crowley's home room 26-25.

Coffee with the Counselors

RMS presents Coffee with the Counselors — To High School and Beyond April 8 at 8:45-9:45 a.m. in the media center. Counselors from area high schools share tips for helping the transition smoothly into high school. They will be addressing topics such as the difference between CP, Honors, AP, and IB classes; a typical day in their high school; graduation requirements; how to communicate with your child’s teachers, and more.

iMove Run/Walk is May 3

The 4th Annual iMOVE 5K Run / Walk will be May 3. Check-in will be at 8 a.m., pre-race warm up at 8:30 a.m. and the start of the race/walk at 9 a.m. All of the proceeds will be donated to Let There Be Mom and Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services (PAALS). Next baseball games are April 7 and 10

The next RMS baseball games will be RMS vs. Beck on Monday, April 7 at Beck Middle School and RMS vs. Greenville on Thursday, April 10 at Riverside Middle School. Games begin at 5 p.m. 

Next soccer games are April 7 and 10

The next RMS soccer games will be RMS vs. Beck on Monday, April 7 at Beck Middle School and RMS vs. Greenville on Thursday, April 10 at Greenville Middle School. Games begin at 4:30 p.m.

25 students join RMS running club 

Twenty-five students have joined the Riverside Middle School running club, to train and prepare for the iMove 5k to be held at RMS on May 3. The club is coached by Jamie Luff, Jenny Boulet, Audrey Cook and Ginger Avery.
