Two buildings are being developed on the 100 block of Trade Street that will fill in where vacancies have existed for years.
The former Bank of Greer at 116 Trade Street is undergoing renovations that will feature an apartment upstairs and an insurance agency in the adjacent building.
The Greer Jaycees Christmas Parade is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 2 at 2:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “A White Christmas”.

Two buildings on Poinsett Street owned by Demetruos Chulkas are scheduled for a façade facelift and interior upfit.
The Board of Architectural Review approved 119 and 125 E. Poinsett Street for the renovations in GreerToday at its monthly meeting. Jimmy Chulkas, representing the family, said there has been increased activity perusing the buildings for new businesses. The Dixie Shoe Shop was previously located at 119 Poinsett. Two offices occupied 125 E. Poinsett.
