Dr. Jim Ellis described a Friday night scenario to Steadman Hawkins associates where an injured high school player could come to MD360 for an emergency X-ray, it diagnosed to be a bruise, sent back to the stadium and into the game to resume play.
“I can see that happening and the player going back into the game and playing, depending when he was injured, when he gets back to the game and if he can tolerate the pain,” Ellis said.
In a week, the community will have a convenient and fast option for treatment of minor illnesses and injuries. Greenville Hospital System is set to open it’s Greer location of MD360, a medical facility that offers walk-in care, urgent care, and physical therapy, on Tuesday.
Jennifer Turner, clinical manager, said that MD360 is designed to be convenient for patients, with no appointment needed, and extended hours. “We want to make it easy for people who need care. They can come in before work or after work.” The facility will be open weekdays 6 a.m. – 10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sundays noon – 6 p.m.
