Greer High School Principal Marion Waters was among the first high school, college or NFL representative in the United States to participate in the commemorative Ronald Reagan Centennial coin toss.
The coin bearing Ronald Reagan’s image is part of a year-long tribute to honor the 100th birthday of America’s 40th President. It is sponsored by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation.
D’Anta Fleming is the first Greer High School football player to receive the Greer Touchdown Club Player of the Week Award on defense for his outstanding play in last week’s 62-6 victory over Berea.
Fleming ran one of his two interceptions back for a 28-yard touchdown, had two pass breakups and in the past three games he has only allowed one pass completion.
Fleming received his award at the Greer Touchdown Club’s meeting today at United Methodist Church.
