Blue Ridge edged in 5th set to lose state playoff match
Blue Ridge High School pushed North Augusta to five sets before losing 3-2 Thursday in the first round of the high school volleyball playoffs.

North Augusta won the final set, 15-11. Blue Ridge won the first set 25-17, lost 13-25, won 25-22 and lost the fourth set 13-25.

Blue Ridge earned a berth in the state playoffs for the first time in 10 years.

Blue Ridge finished its season 11-12 and was 6-2 in Region II-AAAA.

Alex Love, a broadcaster with GreerToday.com, will have a complete game review and interviews with Coach Jill Baxter and player Sage Hill.
