Motorist arrested for impersonating an officer, discharging a firearm

The Greer Police arrested Preston Blaine Thompson, 20, of 100 Bennetts Crossing Court, for Impersonating an officer, discharging a firearm and unlawful carrying of a firearm.   

There was a confrontation between two motorists on Hwy. 29 on Thursday  at approximately 10:30 p.m.  One of the motorists stated (Thompson) said he was an undercover cop and that he could have him locked up.  

Thompson returned to his vehicle and got a firearm and according to the witness said he was going to shoot him.  Thompson then fired one shot in the air and left the scene.  He was located and arrested.
