Preston Blaine Thompson, 20, was arrested for impersonating an officer and discharging a firearm on Hwy. 29 Thursday night.
There was a confrontation between two motorists on Hwy. 29 on Thursday at approximately 10:30 p.m. One of the motorists stated (Thompson) said he was an undercover cop and that he could have him locked up.
Thompson returned to his vehicle and got a firearm and according to the witness said he was going to shoot him. Thompson then fired one shot in the air and left the scene. He was located and arrested.
