$10,000 reward offered in firearms theft

A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the theft of firearms from the South Carolina Gun Company at 242 W. Wade Hampton Blvd., Suite E.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is offering a $5,000 award and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) has announced a $5.000 reward.

On July 27, in the early morning hours unknown persons broke into the South Carolina Gun Company and stole eighteen firearms. The burglary of this gun shop is being investigated by ATF and the Greer Police Department.

The Greer Police report said, a review of the video footage cameras inside the store found there were three suspects who entered the business.

Suspect 1, wore a red bandana, green long sleeve T-shirt, thick framed black glasses, long black dread locks (just past the shoulders), very thin and approximately 5-10, 140 pounds.

Subject 2 is a black male, who was wearing dark jeans, black T-shirt, and all black Nikes with large white “swooshes”, approximately 5-10, 220 pounds.

Subject 3 was a black male approximately 6-foot, 210 pounds, wearing gray gym shorts, black T-shirt, and gray and white tennis shoes (possibly Jordans), according to the report. He was using underwear to cover his face.

All subjects in addition to having their faces covered, wore gloves.
