BIN112, The Strip Club 104 get third straight annual TripAdvisor honor

BIN112 and The Strip Club 104 Steakhouse have each been awarded a 2015 Certificate of Excellence award from TripAdvisor, an internationally acclaimed hospitality website.

It’s the third consecutive year both restaurants owned by executive chef Jason Clark have received the designation.

The award is driven by customers who offer reviews of the restaurants on TripAdvisor’s website. Restaurants must maintain an overall rating of four or higher out of a possible five, as reviewed by travelers on TripAdvisor, and must have been listed on the website for at least 12 months.

BIN112 offers a fine dining experience with a varied menu while The Strip Club (TSC) features beef aged on site by Clark.

Friday only lunch, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., at TSC offering fresh ground Angus filet mignon – hamburgers – routinely has a line forming at 11 a.m. that sometimes snakes along Poinsett Street.

“Who would have thought that, at lunch on Friday in Greer, lines would form at a restaurant,” Clark said in amazement. “It is totally awesome.”

Clark didn’t expect the overwhelming support but he has added a link to an outdoor camera for customers to observe the activity at The Strip Club.

The revitalization in downtown Greer can partly be attributed to Clark’s restaurants adding a dimension that attracts decision makers of business and industry to the central business district.

“Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined the success we have had,” Clark said.

His peers recognized Clark as Restaurateur of the Year in 2014 by the Upstate Hospitality Association in conjunction with the South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association.

Clark’s restaurants have been featured in many Upstate and regional publications including Garden and Gun and Sandlapper magazine.
