Bookert's filing means all incumbents seek re-election

Kimberly Bookert filed for re-election Tuesday. That means all incumbents have filed to retain their seats on city council and commissioner of CPW.
 

Kimberly Bookert filed for re-election Tuesday. That means all incumbents have filed to retain their seats on city council and commissioner of CPW.

 

All incumbents will seek re-election in the Nov. 3 City of Greer non-partisan general election based on documents completed through Tuesday. To date none are opposed.

District 3 Councilwoman Kimberly Bookert filed Tuesday her intent to seek another term. Bookert is the final incumbent to file for re-election.

The deadline to file is noon Monday.

All seats have four-year terms with the exception of the six-year CPW office.

Positions up for election, term and filing fees are:

• Mayor Rick Danner, at-large, four years, $125.

Danner filed for a fifth term on July 15

• Jay Arrowood, Council District One, four years, $70.

Arrowood filed for re-election on July 21.

• Kimberly Bookert, Council District Three, four years,  $70.

Bookert filed for re-election on Aug. 11

• Wryley Bettis, Council District Five, four years, $70.

Bettis filed for re-election on July 21. 

• Jeff Howell, Greer Commissioner of Public Works, six years, $125.

Howell filed for re-election on July 17
