I-385 northbound at the I-85 interchange will be closed Friday night at 10 p.m. to allow for the placement of steel girders for a future connector ramp as part of the 85-385 Gateway project.
Traffic will be detoured to I-85 northbound, then directed to turn around at the Highway 14 interchange (Exit 56), then directed along I-85 southbound to the I-385 northbound exit ramp (Exit 51C). Please observe all signage and traffic control devices.
Normal traffic patterns should resume by 5 a.m. Saturday.
The purpose of the detour is to set steel girders across I-385 northbound for the future I-385 northbound to I-85 southbound connector ramp.
