Jacob is the first baby Snow Macaque, an Old World Monkey species native to Japan, born at Hollywild Animal Park.

Hollywild Animal Park has welcomed its first baby Snow Macaque, an Old World Monkey species native to Japan.  The baby’s parents, Jeremiah and June, came to Hollywild during the winter from a private primate facility in Charleston.  Animal staffers named the boy Jacoby.

On Thursday, June 28 the public first saw the baby as he and his parents were moved from their private quarters to an indoor/outdoor habitat.

Admission includes access to the walking exhibit areas, safari bus ride and creature feature show. 

The animal park is open 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on weekends. Admission is $12 adults, $10 students, $8 children and seniors (65+), handicapped, children under 2 are admitted free. Call 864-472-2038 for more information.
