GPD charges Greer man, 23, with attempted murder

The Greer Police Department arrested Jackson Girault Turnage and charged him with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.

 

 

 

A 23-year-old Greer man was arrested and charged with attempted murder Tuesday, according to a police report.

Greer City Police arrested Jackson Girault Turnage and charged him with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.

According to the police report, witnesses told officers Turnage, while hanging out with a group of people at a home on Hampton Road, began acting strangely after ingesting a drug described as “Molly or Holly. Something like that.”

Witnesses told police when Turnage grabbed a knife everyone vacated the house. Turnage allegedly attacked a woman (name and age redacted from incident report) who entered the house and told him to leave. Turnage, according to witness reports, then attacked the victim with a knife and stabbing the person multiple times in the upper body.
