Jeremy McCall gave it his all during last week's Greer Idol competition. He feared the split voting would hinder him and his wife, Lauren. It did when both were eliminated over the weekend.

Husband and wife Lauren and Jeremy McCall were eliminated from Greer Idol 6 and True Blue Heflin was ousted from Idol Teen. Four singers in each group remain with three weeks remaining in the Friday night competitions.

GreerToday.com will stream the competition Friday night beginning at 6 p.m.

Jeremy cautioned earlier in the competition that he and Lauren would be at a disadvantage with friends and fans choosing between them.

Doug Allen, last year’s Idol runner-up, Wally Dreesen, Brittany Pridemore and Ryan Wilson compete this week with the theme being movie and show tunes.

Megan Watts, 16, Kayla Kershaw and Catherine Warren, both 15, and Anna McCleer, 13, remain in the teen competition. Heflin, 12, was the youngest singer in the competition.

Greer Idol Teen begins at 6 p.m. Friday and Greer Idol at 7. Retro-Vertigo is the featured band and begins after Idol Teen.
