Martin Livingston has resigned as executive director of the Greenville County Redevelopment Authority.
Livingston will leave his position at the Greenville County Redevelopment Authority on July 31.
“While we are sad to see Martin leave, we wish him the best in all his future endeavors,” David Doser, GCRA Board Chairman, said.
“We, at GCRA, hope the community will join us in thanking and recognizing, Martin for his exceptional leadership. Over the past ten years, Martin has been instrumental in guiding our organization toward its mission of improving the quality of life for the citizens of Greenville County through the implementation of innovative community development and revitalization strategies,” Doser said.
Under Livingston’s leadership, GCRA has been recognized as one of the top community development organizations in South Carolina.
GCRA will begin a nationwide search for a new leader. It will continue to focus on residential single-family and multifamily development, redevelopment and infill housing in GCRA’s neighborhoods, and seeking grants to help expand the organization’s impact throughout Greenville County.
Livingston typically presented to Greer City Council its distribution of block grants and HOME funds, this year totaling $677,522. Greer is receiving $413,617 in Community Development Block Grant funds to assist low and moderate income persons and/or communities and $263,905 for used and new construction for eligible low and moderate income applicants in the city.
