Mayor Rick Danner and city council members Jay Arrowood (District 1), Kimberly Bookert (District 3) and Wryley Bettis (District 5) will be sworn in Tuesday night at 6:30 to serve another term for their respective offices.

The City of Greer Election Commission, as required by state law, certified the elections involving unopposed candidates.

The at-large Commissioner of Public Works remains the only contested race on July 25. Incumbent Perry Williams faces challenger Jerry Balding.

Charles Lindsey originally filed to run for the District 3 seat on Greer City Council, but was declared ineligible by the State Ethics Commission, which reported that it did not receive his mandatory Statement of Economic Interests and Campaign Disclosure Report.
