Mary Jean Boyd Battson, 89, wife of the late Donald Battson, passed away July 9, 2023.

A native of Dwarf, Ky.,, daughter of the late Troy Edgar and Elsie Miller Boyd, she was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and the Caring Sunday School Class.

Surviving:

Surviving are one daughter, Stephanie J. Cowan of Greer, S.C.; one son, Donald Battson of Louisville, Ky.; four brothers, James Boyd (Wilma) of Morehead, Ky., Paul Boyd (Kay) of Manchester, Mich., Bill Boyd of Morehead, Ky., and Larry Boyd of Wayne, Mich., one sister, Alene Lewis (Denver) of Morehead, Ky., two grandchildren, Sarah and Seth Cowan; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Battson was predeceased by one brother, Kenneth Boyd; and one son-in-law, John Cowan.

Funeral Services:

A celebration of life will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Fairview Baptist Church Student Building conducted by Rev. Bob Atwell.
